Diggers Bottlebarn was started for the pure pleasure of all collectors.  It is a source for collecting, selling, trading and to see and hear about all the goings on in the bottle world.

Our goal is to offer as much up to date information and links to other bottle sites that will help to stimulate and encourage the art of bottle collecting.

I have been collecting Black glass and particularly all sorts of gins for over twenty years and although it is not the best collection it has given me a lot of enjoyment and I have acquired several one of a kinds which I guard closely. Now that I am in semi-retirement I am spending time researching the history and contents of some of these wonderful old antique bottles. That is where I got the idea for this website.

I have found several hundred web sites on old or antique bottles and the majority have either never been updated, contain lots of non-working links or are just plain un-inviting to new entrants to this fascinating hobby. Even the news groups seem  to have been abandoned by collectors. I have become rather disgruntled at the way that Ebay has sort of hidden the bottle forum on their site so I created the Bottle Barn Auction where collectors can deal directly with other collectors! If you have ever used Ebay I am sure their has been good experiences as well as some bad. I made it cheaper since I am not doing this to make a huge company like Ebay. I just want collectors to have a good experience and to encourage the art of bottle collecting. I am sure we all know how exciting this hobby can be and the possibilities of developing this forum are endless.
